IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT USING THE Back Bay FX/ODL PLATFORMS:

We are a part of the only trading group that ODL allows micro mini lot trading. They have also configured our trading platforms with special features. These modifications include but are not limited to the following:

1. micro mini lots or mini lots with 100:1 leverage

2. hedging is enabled at no extra cost

3. spreads of 2 pips only on the 4 majors (the spread of 2 pips for each of the four majors plus $1.25 commission, so the cost to get into a four pair trade is 13 pips total, including spread and commission, which is exactly the same as getting into a four pair trade at IBFX.)

5. good competitive interest rates for our daily swap

6. no stop hunting or spread widening or slippage

7. interest paid monthly on our entire account balance

Note: The BackBayFX/ODL platform for LIVE and DEMO TRADING is a Standard Platform and you must move the decimal two places to the left.

So starting from the right, move the decimal two places to the left:

1 micro mini lot becomes 0.01 (as entered under volume in the order window on our platform)

5 micro mini lots becomes 0.05

10 micro mini lots becomes 0.10 or is one mini lot

20 micro mini lots becomes 0.20 or 2 mini lots

69 micro mini lots becomes 0.69

100 micro mini lots becomes 1.00 or one standard lot

135 micro mini lots becomes 1.35

Here is how to download your new demo AND live platform:

(I suggest you print this so you can follow the instructions along as you are going):

1. Click on the link in this email to begin download.
2. Save it to your desktop.

3. Find the Icon on your desktop and click to open file or it may just begin downloading.

4. If it does not begin downloading find the setup Icon on your desktop and Double Click on ugmfx4setup to begin setup. If you begin downloading, simply click 'Next' until you get to the window with Installation folder.

5. Keep clicking along and it will install.

6. Launch your new BackBayFX Platform by clicking 'finish'.

7. On the page that pops up and says 'open account' click to agree to newsletters. On the right, where it says deposit, drop that menu down and select the dollar amount that you think you will be opening a new live account with.

8. Click next.

9. On next window make sure BackBayFX Demo server is selected.

10. Click next.

11. Write down your demo account number and the password.

12. Click Finish.

13. Click Start on Live Update.

14. Click Update and Restart button when done updating.

15. Now you are on the Platform. On bottom left, click 'Trade' tab and you are ready to begin trading.

16. Adjust your Platform by dragging down on the bottom grey line to have more room on the bottom to see all your open trades.

17. Minimize the Platform. Find the BackBayFX shortcut that you just downloaded on your desktop. Right click on the Icon. Click 'Rename' Re-name it 'demo1' so there is no confusion.

18. You are good to go. Happy trading everyone!

19. To get more demos, simply click on the File Menu on the top left of the platform. Click on 'Open an Account' Install as I have just written here. One platform can run up to 10 demos, however, only one demo account at a time can be open. If you need to have open more than one demo account at a time, download a 2nd platform.

20. Re-name each demo platform icon on your desktop such as "demo1", "demo2", etc.

21. To re-login to your demo acct, remember to select "Demo Server" from the drop-down box.

22. For your LIVE account, please repeat step # 16 and re-name your live desktop icon BackBayFX LIVE.

Introduction

This guide aims to help you configure a Windows Virtual Private Server (from now on referred to as a VPS) for the purpose of running a MT4 trading platform. Where possible, I’ll try not to use too much technical jargon to explain how things are done. But being a technical document, it will be hard not to be a bit technical at times.

For the techies, this document will be easy to follow. For those who are not as technically inclined, I suggest that you get assistance from a friend who is more comfortable with the contents within this document.

As this document is distributed to many people, I will not be able to provide any technical support with regards to setting up your VPS.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to :

* purchase a suitable Windows VPS for running MT4.

* set up a shortcut to access your VPS in console mode.

* configure your VPS to automatically log in using the administrator’s account after a restart.

* configure your MT4 software to start automatically when Windows starts up.

* configure your VPS to reboot on a fixed schedule to keep it running healthy.

E. Opening a Live Trading Account

The new minimum deposit requirement to open and fund a new live account is now US$2,000. Tip: you can always fund your acct with the new required minimum and then make a withdrawal. Make sure you leave enough in your account to trade the robot you are interested in....each robot needs a specific minimal amount.

Please note that there is a W9 for US corporations and W8 for Non-US, please fill it out accordingly. You must also include the two following:

1 valid Government photo ID

1 Utility bill or Bank Statement dated within the last three months and showing their residential address. (not a cell phone)

Corporate Account Application:

BBFX -ODL Corporate Application

Please print out the labeled “BBFX-ODL Corporate Application” and fill out all of the pages (manager page if applicable) and email/scan, fax or mail them back to Paul. Please note that there is a W9 for US corporations and W8 for Non-US, please fill it out accordingly. You must also include the following:

2 piece of government issued corporate ID

All directors must each provide:

1 valid government photo ID

1 Utility Bill or Bank Statement in their name, dated within the last three months and showing their residential address

Share holders owning more than 10 % of the company shares must also provide:

1 valid government photo ID

1 Utility Bill or Bank Statement in their name, dated within the last three months and showing their residential address

If the directors or share holders are a company then they must also provide all of the above documentation.

We will also require a share holder list, list of directors, and list of authorized signatories.

Joint Account Application:

Please print out the labeled “BBFX-ODL Joint Account Application” and fill out all of the pages (manager page if applicable) and email/scan, fax or mail them back to Paul. Please note that there is a W9 for US corporations and W8 for Non-US, please fill it out accordingly. You must also include the two following for each account applicant:

1 valid Government photo ID

1 Utility bill or Bank Statement dated within the last three months and showing their residential address. (not a cell phone)

IMPORTANT NOTE:

When ODL approves your live account, they will send you a Welcome email that includes your Live Account Number (UGXXXX), the login username and password for your trading platform to access your live trading account and a download link for your live trading platform. Make sure the live platform says BackBay FX. If not, use the platform link I gave you at the beginning of this website!

F. FUNDING YOUR LIVE ACCOUNTS

The new minimum deposit requirement to open and fund a new live account is now US$2,000.

If you have a credit card in the same name as your account, you can login to your account at this link:

https://www.odlsecurities.com/logon

and select "Funding Your Account". Follow the instructions. Use your Live Account Number (UGXXX).

If successful, you'll see a page with your details and you'll also receive an email. Your money will appear in your live trading account within minutes!

Or, you can call London @ 011 44 20 7903 6252 and they can take your funds over the phone via your credit card.

Trading with Your New LIVE Account Platform

1. To Open the Platform:

a. To log in with your live account, once the platform loads, click the "File" menu, on the top left and select "Login". Enter your live account number and password. (PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ADJUST THE SERVER TO BackBayFX-MT4 LIVE FROM THE SERVER DROP DOWN MENU WHEN LOGGING IN)

b. Your Login is not your account code! You need your ODL account number to log in. The account number and password are for signing in to the platform and trading. You password is case sensitive.

c. Remember to NOT use the download link for the trading platform that comes from ODL in your Welcome email when your live acct is activated. It will NOT have the special features that our trading group gets as listed above on this website. ONLY download your live trading platform from this website!
